Meet our Board of Directors Serving the YMCA of Pulaski County
Officers | 2025-2026
Paige Cash – President
Dr. Paige Cash is a native of Pulaski, having graduated from Pulaski County High School in 1984. She has a BA in English from Virginia Tech, and MA in English from Radford University, and a PhD in English from The University of Alabama. Dr. Cash taught English at Pulaski County High School from 2005 to 2012, after she and her husband Jon moved home from Marietta, Ga to raise their daughter Emma in Pulaski near her extended family. Dr. Cash is currently a professor of English at New River Community College. In addition to the YMCA board, she is a member of the board at Daily Bread and a member of the Alpha Phi Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa.
She and her family are members of the First United Methodist Church in Pulaski. She is also a RYT-200 and teaches yoga at the YMCA and at the FUMC.
Joshua Taylor – Vice President
Joshua Taylor is a lifelong resident of Pulaski County, VA, with a deep commitment to his community. His educational background includes two Associate of Applied Science degrees from New River Community College (NRCC), a Bachelor of Science in Network Administration from Western Governors University (WGU), and a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, also from WGU. With over 20 years of experience in the IT field, Josh spent 17 years at Pulaski County Public Schools, serving as a Network Engineer for 10 years and as IT Director for 4. He also worked for 3 years in the NRCC Technology Department as an Application Specialist. In 2024, he transitioned to full-time academia as an Assistant Professor of IT at New River Community College.
Joshua is actively involved in local governance, serving on the Pulaski County School Board and the Pulaski County Public Schools Education Foundation.
Lance Yelton – Treasurer
Lance is a lifelong resident of the Town of Pulaski and a dedicated member of the YMCA of Pulaski County. He serves as a Senior Accountant for the Virginia Tech Foundation and is an Elder at Pulaski Church of God, reflecting his strong commitment to service and leadership within the community. Lance is a graduate of Pulaski County High School and Radford University.
Lance and his wife, Amy, are deeply invested in family and community life and enjoy spending time with their daughter, Mattie, son-in-law, Daxton, and son, Caleb.
Regina Szerokman – Secretary
Regina Szerokman is a Pulaski County native and serves as Director of Sales and Innovation for RDL Solutions, as well as co-owner of NRV Lube Plus in Dublin. She is actively involved in community service, serving as Head of Networking for the Pulaski County Free Store and as an Ambassador for the Pulaski County Care Portal, where she helps connect families with critical resources. Regina is committed to ensuring that every citizen in Pulaski County has a voice and access to opportunities to thrive.
Regina and her husband, Drew, share a blended family of six children and are proud grandparents of two.

Sunshine Cope has lived in Pulaski for 16 years, serves on the Pulaski Town Council, and is an active member of Tower of Refuge Church in Dublin. A native of Chilhowie, VA, Sunshine graduated from Chilhowie HS and John A. Gupton Mortuary College in Nashville, TN.
Sunshine is married to Stacy Cope, a proud mom of four young men and two fur babies, and loves being involved in her community.
James L. Crandall is a Pulaski County native who graduated from Pulaski County High School in 2012 before going to Hampden-Sydney College and earning a B.A. in 2016. He then went to the University of Kentucky where he earned an M.B.A. and his Law Degree in 2019. Since then, he has worked at the Pulaski County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office where he is a Senior Deputy Commonwealth Attorney who is a member of the ICAC, CSAM, and human trafficking task forces. He has served on several boards including the Board of Governors for the Young Lawyers Conference of the Virginia State Bar, and Blue Ridge Mountains Council of Boy Scouts of America. He is a current board member of the YMCA of Pulaski County, a board member of the Pulaski Daily Bread, and President of the Pulaski County Bar Association. He also volunteers with Scouts America in several capacities and teaches at the New River Valley Criminal Justice Training Academy. When he is not working or volunteering in his community, he enjoys time with his family and being in the outdoors.
Shay Dunnigan is a dedicated community leader and serves as a member of the YMCA Board of Directors. In this role, he supports the YMCA’s mission to strengthen the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Shay brings a strong background in parks and recreation, with experience in program leadership, facility management, and community engagement.
Passionate about expanding access to recreation and wellness opportunities, Shay is committed to fostering partnerships that create positive outcomes for individuals and families.
Mark Hanks spent 35 years in public education as a teacher, basketball coach, athletic director, and principal, retiring as CTE Director for Pulaski County Schools. A three-time State Coach of the Year, he led two state championship teams. For the past five years, he has worked as a Student Resource Specialist at New River Community College. Mark holds a B.A. in Economics from Emory & Henry College and an M.A. in Educational Leadership from Lynchburg College. He and his wife, Pam, have two sons.
Gary Hash II is a lifelong resident of Pulaski County and has been part of the Pulaski YMCA community for as long as he can remember. He is married to Meghan Hash, and together they are grateful to be raising their children, Farrar and Tre. Gary works at Jubilee Christian Center in Fairlawn, Virginia, where the church has been actively serving the local community for nearly 20 years. Alongside his wife, he coaches basketball and football in the county, sharing a strong passion for youth development and mentorship.
As a proud YMCA board member, Gary is committed to giving back and looks forward to continuing to serve the community for many years to come.
Jill Neice served the Police Department for 25 years in various roles, retiring in 2024 as Chief of Police. She grew up in the Town of Pulaski and graduated from Pulaski County High School, then went on to earn degrees from New River Community College and Radford University.
She currently works part-time for the Commonwealth’s Attorney and continues to live in the Town of Pulaski.
